296?!?

Kinda missed Monday’s post but no matter, it was just going to be filled with how impressive Adrian Peterson really is. The guy is a monster and he is already one of the top 4 running backs in the NFL. Remember the guy is a rookie; he shouldn’t be able to do this to NFL defenses. 296 is an impressive number; even more impressive is that he gained 253 of those yards in the second half alone. I wonder how Chester Taylor feels about all of this.

Patriots pulled out a win in Indy this past weekend. It was their first real test of the season, minus the cowboy game, and they showed what they are made of. The refs did everything in their power to stop this team and Brady and Co. wouldn’t let it happen and played through it. The scary thing about all of this is that they think they can be better. Even scarier, they probably can get better. Patriots won’t go undefeated on the season though I just can’t see the hooded one play all of his guys (Moss, Brady, Maroney) in weeks 16 and 17. But the way this team is going Matt Cassel could step in and win a few games for them.

I don’t really want to talk about the state of University of Minnesota athletics, it’s just too depressing. The football team didn’t even come close to competing with Illinois and the hockey team, our bread and butter, looks as lost as ever. They have no offense and their goalie play has been shaky so far. Lucia has his hands full and I’m not all to sure what he is going to do about this young team, so far the line switches haven’t benefited the team.

Tomorrow; College football or baseball hot stove, haven’t decided yet
