The Ex Effect

Has this situation ever happened to you? It is 9 o'clock on a saturday night. You are just watching some TV when your phone goes off. You check to see who it is and you are surprised to see that the person that has just shot you a text is an ex. Before you read it you wonder a few things such as: why are they texting me? What could they want? Do they need a favor from you and think that because you dated in the past that you will do the favor for them? Or are they looking for a booty call and thought that you were the easiest target.

Depending on how involved you were with that person is how you go about conversing with your ex. I have a few guidelines I like to follow and will pass some grey matter your way...

These are the times that you take up on an ex's offer of hanging out...
1) If you are just friends
2) If you and your ex still both have some lingering feelings and you are in a casual setting (bar, dinner, concert, you get the idea)
3) If your ex is really really hot
4) If you haven't gotten laid in a long time and you have nothing better to do

These are the times that you should avoid an ex at all costs....
1) If your ex needs something of you (fixing something, giving her a ride somewhere)
2) If she is crazy
3) If she browke you widdle heart
4) If she is dating someone else (why are you texting me again if you have a boyfriend?)
5) If she is crazy

Now, there are times when you can hang out with someone post breakup but once you see someone naked what else is there to hide? You will think about this everytime you talk to them afterwards and it can be awkward. I'm no relationship expert but I've been through my share of drama with the gal pals so if you heed my rules, you will make it out of alive. Good luck to you all...
