What were they thinking?

The NFL Draft is good for two things: Stupid picks and Mel Kiper Jr. I can't and won't comment on Mel but I just have to question some of these draft picks that NFL GM's select. With that, let's rip the guys that make more money then I ever will...

Umm what? Al Davis drafted a fast receiver, something that everyone knew he would...but it is the receiver he drafted has everyone scratching their heads. Al Davis just drafted Heward-Bey because he was the fastest player in the draft and he would not have been available in the 2nd round. This happens in the NFL.

The Cheifs selected Jackson with the 3rd pick while passing on Aaron Curry and Michael Crabtree. I get that they needed a pass rusher and maybe he will end up being a very good player. But I have a feeling that Glenn Dorsey tricked Scott Peoli into drafting his smoking buddy. Just a hunch.

I am not upset about the Eagles drafting Jeremy Maclin at 19 because he is a steal at that spot, the beef that I have with this pick is that Andy Reid and the Eagles mangement decided that Jeremy Maclin was better then Anquan Boldin. They could have traded this pick for Boldin straight up and got a deal done instantly. Instead they draft a receiver that is exactly like one they already have, only a little better. The Eagles needed Boldin because McNabb does not have many years left and their window to win a championship is only open until McNabb wants to close it. Because it gets cold in Philly.

  • Minnesota Vikings, Pick #22, Percy Harvin WR
Wait? This pick is awesome! Skol Vikings my friends, Skol Vikings
